Welcome to Joab Rico Mission: Here Am I. Send Me.
Updated: 3 days ago
Welcome to Joab Rico Mission. This is a summons to see Jesus Christ clearly, savor him deeply, and carry the good news of his saving work to people who need it. We have not gathered around a slogan, a personality, or a passing burst of enthusiasm. We want the glory of Christ to be known, believed, loved, and proclaimed.
Our governing mission is simple and demanding: REACH THE LOST. TRAIN THE REACHED. UNTIL ALL THE LOST ARE REACHED.
The Savior before the mission
The Christian mission does not begin with our energy. It begins with Jesus Christ. The Son of God entered our broken world, lived in perfect obedience, gave himself for sinners at the cross, and rose victorious from the grave. He is not the mascot of our activities; he is the substance of our message, the source of our hope, and the Lord of the harvest.
Luke 19:10 places the seeking and saving initiative in Christ himself. Acts 1:8 directs our eyes to the power of the Holy Spirit and the worldwide reach of Christian witness. Isaiah 43:6–7 reminds us that God gathers a people for his own glory. These passages are not decorations on our brand. They shape what we teach, why we go, and whom we seek to honor.
The flagship book: The Heat Seeking Mission
The Heat Seeking Mission: The Glory of Jesus Christ in Seeking and Saving the Lost is the opening book of this endeavor. It asks a question that refuses to remain theoretical: What happens when someone truly sees and savors Jesus Christ? Our answer is that the Spirit moves believers outward in love—to reach the lost, train the reached, and help others behold the Savior's beauty.
This book is meant for the classroom and the church pew, the locker room and the living room, the pulpit and the ordinary conversation. It is for believers who need renewed courage, leaders who want to equip others, and thoughtful seekers who want to understand why Jesus changes lives.

What you will find here
This website will gather biblical articles, practical discipleship resources, preaching and teaching videos, outreach encouragement, the free Heat Seekers Seven-Day Field Guide, opportunities to invite Joab to speak, and ways to support the work. The resources are tools, not the destination. They exist to point beyond themselves to Jesus Christ.
The first invitation is not to buy something or follow an account. It is to consider Christ. Read the Gospels. Ask honest questions. Bring your doubts, your weariness, and your need for mercy. And, if you belong to Christ already, pray for one person by name, listen to that person's story, and speak a timely word about the Savior.
Here am I. Send me.
May this mission be marked by doctrinal faithfulness, genuine hospitality, courageous witness, humble service, and lasting discipleship. We are praying for real fruit, not religious noise. Let everything point to the crucified and risen Christ. Carry the fire. Spread the flame.
